2021 NFL Draft Day 2: Start time, television, streaming, Vikings picks and more

The 2021 NFL Draft rages on this evening, as Day 2 is set to get underway from Cleveland in just a matter of hours. We want everyone to be able to follow along with the action as best they can, so here is everything you need to know about how you can do just that.

Event: 2021 NFL Draft, Day 2

Start Time: 6:00 PM Central

Television Coverage: Just like yesterday, you’ll be able to find the Draft on television on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network.

Radio Coverage: Many sports radio affiliates around the country will be carrying the draft, so spin the dials to see what you can find in your area. If you have satellite radio, you can check out SiriusXM NFL Radio, which is Channel 88 on both Sirius and XM.

Streaming Coverage: You can once again check out the NFL app, the ESPN app, NFL.com, and other places such as Fubo TV to get streaming coverage.

What picks do the Minnesota Vikings have today? As it stands now, the Vikings have no picks in the second round, but they do currently have four picks in Round 3:

• #66 overall
• #78 overall
• #86 overall
• #90 overall

However, I would not expect that to remain the case, as Rick Spielman indicated last night at his post-pick press conference that the team has “plenty of ammunition” if they want to move up, so I would expect them to appear in the second round at least once.

So when will the Vikings pick tonight? If. . .and that’s a big if. . .the Vikings do not trade into the second round somehow, they will have the second pick in the third round. Each team gets seven minutes for a selection in the second round, so if each pick takes the full allotted time it would take a little more than three hours for the second round to be completed. That would put the start of the third round somewhere around 9:00 PM Central time.

But, as I said, I’d expect the Vikings to make at least one pick before that, so you’ll probably want to tune in ahead of time.

What will we be doing at DN? Just like last night, and as we’ve done for the past couple of years, we will have an Open Thread for each round of the draft, and the moderators will create additional threads for each round if it is warranted.
