J.D. Miles, a reporter with CBS 11 in Dallas, is reporting that cornerback Jeff Gladney has turned himself into the Dallas County Jail and posted a $10,000 bond on a charge of third-degree felony family violence assault.
According to Miles’ reporting, which you can follow by clicking on the tweet above, the incident took place on April 2, which was this past Friday. Gladney is accused of “hitting the accuser with closed fists, choking her and dragging her by the hair while driving with her outside his vehicle.”
Gladney was one of the Vikings’ two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, having played his college ball in the Dallas area at Texas Christian.
We obviously don’t know all of the facts of this case yet, but on the surface it sounds pretty terrible. It’s something that we’re going to be monitoring and we will bring you any new developments in the case as soon as they become available.
