Your Vikings highlight video of the indeterminate time period

Let’s throw it back a bit, shall we?

NFL: SEP 09 49ers at Vikings

With not a lot going on in the land of the Minnesota Vikings right now. . .and, man, do I not want to talk about the Jeff Gladney thing at the moment. . .it seems to be as good a time as any to pull up some old highlights. With the 2021 NFL Draft now just a few weeks away, this one would appear to be as good as any.

Our friend funkydunkleman on YouTube put together this video almost a year ago, and it highlights the first touchdown of the players that the Vikings have taken in the first round every year since 1985. . .well, the ones that scored touchdowns, anyway. It’s not a long video, clocking in at about six and a half minutes, but it’s a pretty good one.

It goes in reverse chronological order, so it starts with the Mike Hughes pick-six against the 49ers back in 2018 and concludes with a nice play from the late, great Chris Doleman. I do wish that one of the touchdowns, the Kevin Williams fumble return against Jacksonville, had Paul Allen’s call on it, because that was a classic call. I’m not even sure it’s on YouTube anywhere or anything like that.

So, if you’re so inclined, kick back and take a look at some great plays from some great members of the purple, ladies and gentlemen.
