Let us know what you think!

After not trading into the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft like many. . .including myself. . .speculated that they would, the Minnesota Vikings grabbed a player that they apparently see as their quarterback of the future in Texas A&M signal caller Kellen Mond.

I’ve said numerous times in this space before that, should something happen to Kirk Cousins, this team is in big trouble. By grabbing someone like Mond, who they obviously see as the long-term answer at the quarterback position, they have someone that is almost certainly an upgrade at the backup quarterback spot right now. It’s certainly a lot more exciting, to be certain.

Mond is still a bit of a project, but given that the Vikings are attached to Cousins for the next two years because of his contract, he’ll have plenty of time to be developed between now and then. This is a pick for the future, and with four picks in last night’s third round, the Vikings could afford to make that move.

What do you think of the selection of Kellen Mond, folks?
