Unless the Minnesota Vikings want to do something crazy like use picks for 2022 to move back into the 2021 NFL Draft, they are officially done for this year’s selection meeting.
All in all, they drafted eleven players this year, and only made one trade throughout the course of their entire weekend. That was the trade they made on the first night of the draft with the New York Jets to move down and acquire two more third-round selections. It certainly wasn’t the typical “Trader Rick” draft for the purple this year.
With that, here are all of the members of this year’s draft class for the Vikings along with pictures of all of them in action. . .well, almost all of them.
Round 1, Pick #23 - Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech University
Round 3, Pick #66 - Kellen Mond, QB, Texas A&M University
Round 3, Pick #78 - Chazz Surratt, LB, University of North Carolina
Round 3, Pick #86 - Wyatt Davis, G, Ohio State University
Round 3, Pick #90 - Patrick Jones, DE, University of Pittsburgh
Round 4, #119 overall - Kene Nwangwu, RB, Iowa State University
Round 4, #125 overall - Camryn Bynum, S, University of California-Berkeley
Round 4, #134 overall - Janarius Robinson, DE, Florida State University
Round 5, #157 overall - Ihmir Smith-Marsette, WR, University of Iowa
Round 5, #168 overall - Zach Davidson, TE, University of Central Missouri
(Sorry, no pictures. Hopefully soon.)
Round 6, #199 overall - Jaylen Twyman, DT, University of Pittsburgh
We’ll have plenty more on this year’s Minnesota Vikings’ draft class, as well as the post-draft Undrafted Free Agent signing frenzy. It should be an interesting one for the Vikings because they’ve got some open spots that can be filled with those kinds of players.
