Good Morning!
A running back, former corner-now safety, edge, wr, te and dt were the drafted haul on the last day of the draft. To be fair (insert gif) I didn’t know most of these names but the writers I follow on Twitter and here had good things to say about each of the drafted players. I was surprised the Vikings didn’t seek out a WR3 earlier in the draft, I’d have to think they’ll go back to the FA pool before training camp to find some more depth.
I think my favorite player selected yesterday was Jaylen Twyman, he took last year off from playing football to provide for his mother and siblings but didn’t have a very good pro day which caused his draft capital to drop. He’s a little undersized at 6”1’ but like the guy in the lead picture I hope he’s able to work with the coaching staff and find a way onto the 53 and some meaningful playing time this year.
Meanwhile, we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Sunday, time enough for all of you to enjoy one more day at home, at my house it’s referred to “last day” as I’ll be off for the week starting Monday.
