We’ve known the regular season schedule for the Minnesota Vikings for a couple of weeks now, and while we also knew their preseason opponents, we did not have finalized dates and times for those games until today.
So, without any further ado, here is the preseason schedule for the purple. Two of their three preseason games. . .remember, shorter this year because of the extra regular season game. . .will be on Saturdays with the other happening on a Friday.
The preseason opens at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Denver Broncos. Kickoff for that one is scheduled for 3:00 PM Central time on Saturday, 14 August.
From there, the Vikings will host the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, 21 August. That one will get started from U.S. Bank Stadium at 7:00 PM Central time.
Following that, the Vikings will be on the road for the All-Important Third Preseason Game™ as they head to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the defending AFC Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. That one happens on Friday, 27 August, and will also kick off at 7:00 PM Central time.
As far as we know right now, these games will only be airing on FOX 9 in the Twin Cities. There has not been any indication yet as to which, if any, of these games will be featured as part of a nationwide broadcast or anything like that. There will also be replays of these games available on the NFL Network at some point as well. Once we get some indication as to when those will happen, we will pass them along to you here.
