We’re nearing the end of the deadzone of useful NFL news, it gets more and more difficult to fill the space up here with @meaningful words@ during the offseason but particularly after the draft and OTA’s. I posted a tweet below from The Vikings Gazette since they were nice enough to include me, apparently they don’t know me very well (yet). I’ll start working on the mailbag this weekend between patients and get it posted either Monday or Tuesday for questions with the followup post with answers on Friday. My wife and I are taking the plunge next week, we’re going to spend a couple of days in St. Augustine seeing the sites and sampling the local restaurants...we’ve been there before so we know where we’re going.
Meanwhile, we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s the weekend, time to fire up the smoker and start chilling the beer, or go to work.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip the cows and Welcome Aboard!
