Good Morning!

Preseason game tomorrow vs the Broncos, if I remember correctly the game will be carried live on the NFL Network, look for game threads to post Saturday. As always with any preseason game, I hope it’s a good contest with no injuries on either side. For the Kene Nwangwu and Ihmir Smith-Marsette fans out there it sounds like both of them are going to be given every opportunity to prove they belong on the 53 this weekend.

Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s weekend eve, time to plan the beer and meat menu for the weekend and get the smoker fired up.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip the cows, try the tiger meat and Welcome Aboard!

Yes, I checked the settings last night so this posted at 4am as usual.
