We have officially made it to the All-Important Third Preseason Game™. . .or, at least, what used to be the All-Important Third Preseason Game™. We don’t know how the teams will handle it, but on Friday night the Minnesota Vikings will make their way to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the defending AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, in the last preseason contest for both teams.
How can you follow along with all of the action? Glad you asked.

Radio Info
If you do not have access to a television, you can find the game on the radio courtesy of the Vikings Radio Network. With KFAN-FM (100.3) serving as the flagship, the Vikings Radio Network has affiliates all over the Upper Midwest. Be sure to check the site to see if there’s an affiliate in your area.
If you have satellite radio, you’ll be able to hear the Vikings Radio Network feed on Channel 383 on both the Sirius and XM sides of the house. If you’re using the SiriusXM app, the Vikings’ permanent home there is Channel 820.
Referee Info
According to the folks from Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this one will be headed up by Shawn “Son of Gun Show” Hochuli. The Vikings have not seen Hochuli the Younger since 2019, when his crew called the Vikings’ dramatic 28-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
Weather Info
Hey, a game where weather might actually be a factor! According to our friends at WeatherNation, it looks like it might be a bit of a warm one. Temperatures at kickoff will be hovering right around 90 degrees with winds coming out of the south at around 10 miles an hour. Hydrate, kids.
Streaming Info
Your best bet for streaming as it stands right now is a free trial of NFL Game Pass. They’re doing the 7-day free trial thing if you want to look into it. You could also look at something like Fubo.tv for your streaming needs.
As always. . .and I know people are going to complain about it anyway. . .please don’t go around promoting free streams here at The Daily Norseman. Don’t even hint at them, really. Not here, not in the FanPosts or the FanShots, not anywhere else. Accounts that promote such things will go into the ban pile immediately.
Open Thread Info
With this being a preseason game, there will be an Open Thread. I don’t know if we’ll do one for each quarter, but we’ll likely have one for each half. Once the regular season comes around we’ll get back to quarterly Open Threads.
There may or may not be live postgame reaction for this one. Family commitments are likely going to take precedence in this case. But, we can promise that Vikings Rewind will be coming to you live immediately after the regular season opener. So, if we’re not there tomorrow night. . .just wait longer.
(But, like, do other stuff because there are about two weeks in between the last preseason game and the regular season opener.)
But, that’s all of the information you need to follow along with the action between the Vikings and the Chiefs tomorrow night. We hope that you’ll come on in and join us for the Open Thread, especially if you’re watching the action as it happens.
