As a part of their final roster cuts, the Minnesota Vikings have trimmed another of their wide receivers from the roster.
The team has announced that they have waived wide receiver Myron Mitchell as they whittle their roster down to 53 players.
Mitchell was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama-Birmingham this past spring. He played in all three preseason games for the Vikings, catching a two-point conversion in the finale against Kansas City. He was also part of the COVID scare that sidelined a few of the Vikings’ quarterbacks at the start of Training Camp, though he was back from that relatively quickly.
It was always going to be difficult for Mitchell to make the roster with the way the Vikings handle their wide receivers. No word yet on whether the team has any designed on bringing him back to the practice squad.
We will be tracking all of the Vikings’ final roster cuts on our Roster Cut Tracker, which you can see right here.
