If the Minnesota Vikings are going to need a backup for Pro Bowl fullback C.J. Ham this season, it appears they’ll have to bring one up from the practice squad.
As a part of their final cuts, the Vikings have announced that they have waived fullback Jake Bargas.
Bargas was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2020 after playing his college ball at North Carolina. He was briefly elevated to the 53-man roster last season for the game in New Orleans, and was then sent back down to the practice squad.
With the Vikings being one of the few teams in the NFL that continues to utilize a fullback, it would not be surprising to see the team bring Bargas back to the practice squad again to keep him around as Ham’s backup.
We will be keeping track of all of the Vikings’ roster cuts until 3:00 PM Central time with our Roster Cut Tracker, which you can find right here.
