With the Minnesota Vikings making moves to get their roster down to 53 players by the 3:00 PM Central roster deadline, they have decided to part ways with one of their current safeties.
The team has waived safety Myles Dorn as a part of the final cuts.
Dorn signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent last season, but suffered a broken toe in practice towards the end of camp and was placed on injured reserve. He was a part of the battle to serve as a backup at safety behind Harrison Smith and Xavier Woods, but did not do enough to distinguish himself during that race.
It remains to be seen whether or not Dorn will be brought back to the Vikings to be part of the practice squad. We will find out on Wednesday when the team puts its practice squad together.
We are tracking all of the Vikings’ cuts today on our Roster Cut Tracker, which you can find right here.
