NFL Roster Cuts: Minnesota Vikings waive Parry Nickerson

He got a cool highlight, though

As a part of their push to get their roster down to 53 players before the 3:00 PM Central deadline, the Minnesota Vikings have parted ways with one of their cornerbacks.

The team has waived Parry Nickerson as a part of their final cuts.

Nickerson was signed by the Vikings back in May, and the Vikings are his fifth NFL stop as he’s been in the league since 2018. While he was always a bit of a longshot to make the roster, he did get a nice highlight for himself in the Vikings’ preseason finale against Kansas City, as he intercepted a pass and took it back 10 yards for a touchdown.

With as much as Mike Zimmer likes his cornerbacks, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see Nickerson potentially end up on the practice squad, but we’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out if that’s the case.

We’re keeping track of all of the Vikings’ final cuts on our Roster Cut Tracker, which you can find right here.
