With the Minnesota Vikings making the necessary moves to get their roster down to 53 players by the 3:00 PM Central time deadline, the team has parted ways with one of their linebackers.
The team has waived linebacker Tuf Borland as a part of their final cuts.
Borland signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of THE. . .dramatic pause. . .Ohio State University this offseason. The Vikings did make several moves at linebacker this offseason, which made Borland’s road to making the roster a little bit more difficult.
Borland seems to be a candidate to be brought back to the team’s practice squad, as he did have a solid preseason. We will have to see if the Vikings have that interest when they put together their practice squad on Wednesday.
We are tracking all of the Vikings’ roster cuts on our Roster Cut Tracker, which you can find right here.
