Merry Wednesday, everyone!

Well, the roster cuts have been made, and we even saw a trade yesterday. I like the Herndon pick-up. I know he had a down year last year, and had some issues in 2019. For last year, he had 4 drops and 2 fumbles. I can see this being a by-product of 1) coming off of an injury and 2) being on a sub-par team with sub-par talent, which may affect ones focus. I’m not excusing it, but I could see that being PART of the cause. If so, maybe the change of scenery will help. Same with the 2019 issue where he violated the league’s policy on substance abuse. He hasn’t had a problem since, so I’ll hope that he’s put this issue behind him. If so, welcome aboard. What I like about Herndon is his upside. He’s still young, definitely has talent, and if he can step up in his time here, it may be a perfect spot for him to resurrect his career. Time will tell.

As far as roster cuts, there were a few surprises, and a lot of un-surprises. I think there were quite a few moves that were made which will be un-made, mainly for salary cap reasons. Who knows, as with everything else, the NFL has overcomplicated the system so you have to have 14 PhDs and a whole lot of time to figure this stuff out. Needless to say, we’ll have it ALL figured out by noon in the comments. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip the cows, and enjoy the sloth soup. Oh, and most importantly, Welcome Aboard!!!!!
