After Wednesday’s initial signings, the Minnesota Vikings had two spots remaining on their practice squad. They’ve filled one of them with another wide receiver with some potential upside.

Jackson made the Rams in 2020 after going undrafted out of Syracuse University. He spent most weeks inactive and did not accumulate any stats with the Rams last season.
In his final year at Syracuse in 2019, he garnered second-team All-ACC honors, catching 69 passes for 1,050 yards and 12 touchdowns. Many were surprised when he declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, but he went on to an impressive training camp with Los Angeles after that.
It is unknown what sort of plans the Vikings might have for Jackson at this point, but they’ve already got a couple of receivers on the practice squad in Myron Mitchell and Whop Philyor, so maybe they see him as something a bit different from those two.
Welcome to Minnesota, Trishton Jackson!
