You would think that after interceptions on back-to-back drives, including one to seal the Minnesota Vikings’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, safety Camryn Bynum would want to talk about what happened on the field.
As it turns out, he has larger things off the field to talk about.
Camryn Bynum always plays for his family’s country, the Philippines. His wife is currently stuck there because of visa issues.

Bynum just saved a huge #Vikings win over the #49ers — and asked in our unique @nflnetwork postgame interview for any help to get her to the U.S. pic.twitter.com/iiYBBHhfoT
In his post-game interview with Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Bynum informed the audience that his wife is currently stuck in the Philippines because of visa issues.
Bynum, who is of Filipino descent, has done a great deal of charity work in the Philippines since coming into the league in 2021, when the Vikings drafted him in the fourth round. He and his wife were married in a ceremony in the Philippines back in March, but his wife has been unable to make it back to the States because of the issues with her visa.
As someone that’s dealt with the immigration process in the past, I can tell you that there are plenty of times where the wheels move a hell of a lot slower than we’d like (or than they probably should). Hopefully the Bynum family can get these issues resolved and be reunited sooner rather than later. Kudos to Tom Pelissero for allowing Bynum to use this particular platform to highlight this issue as well.
