The annual home-and-home series between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears will conclude for 2023 when the two teams meet in Week 12 on Monday Night Football at U.S. Bank Stadium.
These two teams met back in Week 6 at Soldier Field, with the Vikings having to hold off the Bears by a final score of 19-13. The Vikings are now looking for their sixth consecutive win over the Bears and their third straight season sweep.
Both of these teams are coming off of rough losses. The Vikings gave up a last-minute touchdown on Sunday Night Football to lose to the Denver Broncos by a final score of 21-20, while the Bears gave up sixteen points in the final three minutes of regulation to fall to the Detroit Lions by a score of 31-26. Those results mean that the Vikings are now three games behind Detroit in the NFC North race and any hopes of a second straight division title are just about gone.
Despite the loss, the Vikings still sit with an 80% chance of making the playoffs as of Monday morning.
As far as the betting lines are concerned, the Vikings have opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Bears for this Monday Night Football matchup. This is the first time that the Vikings have opened as the betting favorite since. . .they faced the Bears in Week 6.
Kickoff for this one is slated for 7:15 PM Central time on Monday night and will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC.
