Justin Jefferson injured again against Raiders, questionable to return

Well, that wasn’t good

UPDATE: Jefferson has officially been downgraded to “out” for today’s game.

Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders was highly anticipated for many reasons, not the least of which was the return of star wide receiver Justin Jefferson to the Minnesota Vikings’ lineup. He had been out since Week 5 with a hamstring injury. . .and now he’s out again.

Jefferson has gone back to the locker room with trainers after taking a hard hit in the second quarter of the Vikings/Raiders game and has been designated as questionable to return with a chest injury.

Jefferson sustained the injury when he caught a pass from Joshua Dobbs in the second quarter. Dobbs had to leap to make the catch and was hit hard by Raiders’ safety Marcus Epps. Jefferson got up from the hit and immediately went into the blue medical tent, and from there to the locker room with a couple of trainers.

Here’s hoping that this injury isn’t nearly as serious and that we, perhaps, even see Jefferson back later in this game. For now, however, he’s out with a chest injury and his return is questionable.
