A couple of small changes from Tuesday

As we get closer to the Saturday matinee between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Bengals, both teams have put together their interim injury reports for the week. Each team has made some small changes, so let’s take a look at what the reports look like now.

Minnesota Vikings

Did Not Participate

  • RB Alexander Mattison (ankle)
  • WR Jalen Nailor (concussion)
  • OT Brian O’Neill (ankle)

Limited Participation

  • WR Justin Jefferson (chest)
  • OL Chris Reed (illness, new addition to injury report)
  • G Dalton Risner (ankle)

Full Participation

  • G Ed Ingram (hip, upgrade from LP on Tuesday)

Ingram appears to be on track to resume his role as the starter at right guard, as he’s moved back to a full participant after being limited on Tuesday. Other than Ingram, the only other change to the injury report for the Vikings is the addition of Chris Reed, who is fighting an illness. Mattison, Nailor, and O’Neill continue to sit things out, increasing the likelihood that they will miss Saturday’s game.

Cincinnati Bengals

Did Not Participate

  • LB Joe Bachie (oblique)

Limited Participation

  • WR Tyler Boyd (foot/ankle)
  • WR Ja’Marr Chase (ankle, upgrade from DNP on Tuesday)
  • CB D.J. Turner II (ankle)

Full Participation

  • CB Chidobe Awuzie (shoulder)
  • QB Jake Browning (right forearm)
  • TE Mitchell Wilcox (knee)

Only one change on the injury report for the Bengals, but it’s a significant one as Ja’Marr Chase returned to practice after sitting out of Tuesday’s session with an ankle issue. With as big a part of the offense as he is for the Bengals, I’d be shocked if he didn’t wind up without an injury designation when the final reports come out on Thursday. Other than that, everyone on the Bengals’ injury report has the same status that they had on Tuesday.

Those are the second injury reports of the week, folks. Final reports come out tomorrow afternoon and we’ll have them for you right here.
