Ahead of their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings have made a pair of elevations from the practice squad to the active roster.

The team has announced that running back Myles Gaskin and wide receiver Trishton Jackson have been elevated to the active roster for Saturday’s game.

Gaskin has been back and forth from the practice squad a couple of times. He was actually signed away from the Vikings practice squad for a stretch by the Los Angeles Rams but was released and brought back to the Minnesota practice squad. He was on the active roster for the season opener but has not been elevated since.

With Alexander Mattison out for Saturday’s game, Gaskin will serve as depth at running back behind starter Ty Chandler and Kene Nwangwu, who will serve as the primary backup.

Jackson has also been back and forth from the practice squad to the active roster, and he has a couple of receptions this season, including the game-tying two-point conversion in the Vikings’ victory over the Atlanta Falcons back in Week 9.

Those should be the last moves the Vikings will be making ahead of Saturday’s game. If anything along those lines changes, we’ll bring you that news as soon as we’re able.
