Giving Props: Best player bets for the Vikings against Green Bay

Let’s try to pad some bankrolls, eh?

As we’ve done every week throughout the 2023 regular season, we’re taking a look at the player prop bets being offered by our friends at the DraftKings Sportsbook each week in an effort to find a few that might help you boost your bankroll (if you’re so inclined to engage in this sort of activity). With our Minnesota Vikings getting set to host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, we’ve found a trio of bets that we think could potentially be beneficial to you. Let’s take a look at what we’re eyeing for this week.

Jaren Hall, 222.5 passing yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)

It’s the second start of the year for Hall, who lasted just one quarter in his first start before having to deal with a concussion. It might seem strange to be betting on a fifth-round rookie in a situation like this, but our friends from Acme Packing Company have called their defensive coordinator incompetent, and that certainly seems like something that could play to Hall’s advantage. Throw in that the Packers will be without Jaire Alexander for this one and that gives us the nudge we need.

The play: Over

Ty Chandler, 60.5 rushing yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)

The Vikings, for whatever reason, completely abandoned the running game last week against Detroit. While this would appear, on the surface, to be a situation where Chandler and the run game could get healthy, I wonder if the Vikings won’t be trying a bit too hard to take advantage of an undermanned Green Bay secondary to really commit to running the football. At this point, nothing would surprise me with this offense, but I think we’re going to see them try to air it out this week, which would hurt Chandler’s numbers.

The play: Under

Justin Jefferson, 75.5 receiving yards: Over (-115) or Under (-115)

Think Jefferson remembers the last time he faced the Packers? I think he does. . .and what happened the last time damn sure isn’t going to happen again. Hall will probably lean on Jefferson heavily and Green Bay doesn’t appear to have anyone that can slow him down.

The play: Over

Those are the three player prop bets we’re looking at for this week, ladies and gentlemen. Are there any bets that you’ve got your eyes on?
