Just an idea - Why notgo to San Francisco and propose a straight up, player for player trade - Za'Daarius Smith for Trey Lance? I know - NOBODY TRADES A QB FOR AN EDGE RUSHER!!!. ... But - SF has 3 QB's - on the other hand, one of SF's (few) needs is an edge rusher (and a Pro Bowl caliber one at that). Minnesota, on the other hand, has 3 edge rushers and needs a QB - AND, would pick up an extra $3mil in cap space on the swap. So - why not?
