Vikings 2024 NFL Draft position to be determined by late afternoon window

There are two games we’re focusing on

Now that the 2023 season is officially over for the Minnesota Vikings, we can start looking at where the team will select in the 2024 NFL Draft, and we’ve narrowed it down to a range of three spots.

As it stands now, before the late window of NFL games kicks off, the Vikings are slotted at #12 in the first round. Whether they move from there, or how much they move, will depend on the results of two games: Chicago at Green Bay and Denver at Las Vegas.

  • If both Chicago and Las Vegas win, the Vikings will move up to the #10 overall pick.
  • If one of those two teams win, the Vikings will move to #11.
  • If neither of those two teams win, the Vikings will remain at #12.

A win by Chicago would, sadly. . .or happily, depending on your perspective. . .push the Vikings down to last place in the NFC North, giving them a “fourth place” schedule even though only a few of the games on the schedule are actually affected by that.

So, if you’re looking for something to keep an eye on during the late afternoon window, that’s what we’re watching as the offseason has, officially, started for the purple.
