Hypothetical question for older Viking fans...

Just for fun going back to the year 1976 , if the New England Patriots who led Oakland 21 - 10 going into the 4th Quarter had held on to win. The AFC Championship game would have been Pittsburgh vs. New England. Now Pittsburgh had lost both Franco Harris AND Rocky Blier to injuries in their divisional playoff win against Baltimore. Do you think it would have been possible the Minnesota Vikings could have defeated the Patriots or the Steelers in Super Bowl XI ? Or do you think that the result would have been exactly the same as it turned out against the Oakland Raiders ?

Personally I think the Minnesota Vikings would have had a real good chance against New England but not as good a chance against Pittsburgh. But it is fun to think about "what if " which could apply to a LOT of Minnesota Vikings history especially in the playoffs.
